How do I apply for URBAN UTOPIA?

Can I participate in URBAN UTOPIA if I finish my studys (last semester) already in June/July 2026?

Students who finish their career (last semester of study) before August 2026, will unfortunately not be able to participate.

What can I choose of the program of URBAN UTOPIA?

On the application form, you get to choose 3 seminars and 3 workshops, listing it from your most to your least favorite choice. Depending on how many people apply for each seminar and workshop, you will get assigned to one seminar and one workshop. This means, that you will spend the whole Summer School in one seminar and one workshop.

 

What are the Dates of Arrival and Departure in Magdeburg?

You will arrive on August 8th 2026 and leave on August 20th 2026.

What Dates and Times are the virtual online seminars?

22nd of April, 3rd of June, 15th of July and 16th of September 2026

 

When will I know if I got accepted to URBAN UTOPIA?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail until 20th of February 2026.

 

How much do I have to pay for URBAN UTOPIA?

You have to pay your transport to Magdeburg, your accommodation and daily expenses.
However, you receive 79€ per day (in total for 11 days: 869€ ) by Erasmus!

 

What essentials do I have to bring to URBAN UTOPIA?

Besides the regular packing list: A good pair of shoes to walk around Magdeburg, creative ideas and joy to explore :) Also, it would be sweet if you could bring a local and traditional sweet that we could all share together.
